Smoking is bad for your health. Even a 7 year old knows that. Why then do people still end up being addicted to it? Is it because of peer pressure? Or is it because people take too much tension? Or simply because people are too addicted to get rid of such a bad habit. Whatever the reason maybe, how do we get rid of it? People are already aware of the consequences. If we bore them again in trying to increase their knowledge about the dangers of smoking they are tend to just ignore us and continue with smoking. We can't force them either, unless they want to themselves. So how do we convince them to leave smoking for good? Some suggest showing examples of people who have suffered severely. However, a study suggests that we tend to avoid and ignore such warnings then. Does this just leave us with praying to God that our loved ones stop smoking or wait until something bad actually happens? No. We set rules. The head of the house can forbid anyone to smoke in their house, in their car, restaurants can finish smoking areas and forbid smoking, smoking in public places should be banned as well. Only if the whole society cooperates together can we make some difference in our society.
